Why I am Running for City Council

My involvement with Mukilteo stretches back to 1993 when exploring Old Town  and discovering hidden Mukilteo after entering a garden of unspeakable beauty – the Lincoln Courtyard. My passion for Mukilteo ignited then and to this day remains unabated. I don’t need Money Magazine to tell me that we live in one of the top ten small cities – we have always been number one in my heart! I am passionately committed to ensuring that Mukilteo retains that which makes it unique: a caring, committed community where folks are safe and creativity is embraced, as our watchful lighthouse beacon shines on.

The light is always on in Mukilteo…and my mission is to increase our light, creating greater clarity and transparency in the Council’s decision-making process. My tools for this task: critical thinking and common sense – skills that I use everyday within the context of my job as a lawyer and within the context of community advocacy. Folks tell me that my voice is reasoned, logical, and anchored by a caring heart. I humbly offer my gifts in service to our city and ask that you vote for me if my approach echoes your own.

She says "magical thinking" put the city in a risky position regarding revenue to pay for the new community center. We think her background as an independent, critical thinker and small-business owner in town would be assets to the council."  Read full article.
